Swatch Series: Essie Ballet Slippers

Essie's Ballet Slippers is the 'interview polish'.

I officilly declare it so, because 1 squishy messy coat of it gives the nails a clean, shiny, and extremely well-buffed look. Isn't that the best look you want for interviews?

The sheer wash of milky pink covers the yellow tint of nails exposed to many doses of acetone and nail polish removers. It's not the easiest formula to deal with, but if you're intending to get the "buffed nails" look, you don't really have to be bothered with the slightly streaky application.

On the other hand, a second coat exposes all the flaws of the formula. Streaky, overly sheer, and a milky pink color that clashes horribly with my skintone. Amazing what difference 1 and 2 coats make ye?

So what do you think? Do share what other polishes/shades you like for interviews! I personally prefer to have my nails naked, or with 1 coat of a sheer pink like Ballet Slippers.

I will try and post entries regularly this week, but my thesis is killing me!
