My name is Candy, a 20+ girl, living on the hot sunny island of Singapore.

How it started:

My passion for cosmetics all started with cold sores, and a prescrption for petroleum jelly aka Vaseline. From there, I've moved on to lipgloss, and now, mostly lipsticks. I retained my crazy love for lipbalms though, and really enjoy trying new lip balms!

As for nail polishes, it started with me trying to get rid of a childhood habit of chewing or peeling off my nails. Growing my fingernails, and painting them with pretty colours seemed like the best solution, and it is. My first bottle came from Japan, from the famed 100yen store, and is still with me. My collection is growing, but still modest (I hope).

I have since changed the name of my blog, something I've been meaning to do so for some time. Previously blogging at http://cherubslips.onsugar, I've moved over to Whimsical Perfection, but still serving up useful (I hope!) content for everyone!

What this blog is:

This blog is a platform on which I share on cosmetics, skincare, nail polishes, and that tiny little bit on life and other personal stuff. I'm no expert, and I swear I can't put on eyeshadows for nuts (having monolids probably don't help me much there!). Mostly, I am not fond of wearing makeup on a daily basis, although this will change over time, as I start my working life. I don't even follow a proper skincare regime, although that is one of my New Year's resolutions. And, I can't draw or paint well, especially with my non-dominant hand!

Thus, this blog is more of a documentary on my foray into cosmetics and nail polishes. Over time, through posts and pictures, it's really cool to see yourself improving that little bit, and learning more with each tutorial I read/watch! I do haul posts (not many), swatches (tons!), nail art designs (mostly through copying designs at the moment), and little other titbits that I found. I don't bore you with plain press releases, nor do I do much adverorials. Free products are welcomed, but only if there're extras for giveaways. And as usual, everything is done on a case-by-case basis!
