Haul + swatches of Nail Polish finds!
Hmm, i'm still wondering if I like how my blog is fast turning into a
nail polish blog. I guess I don't really care for now, since nail
polishes are just about the only thing I'm buying these days.
I've been really into cremes. No shimmer, no frosts, no glitter, no duochromes. Just plain old cremes. While on the way to SCAPE to check out dotting tools, I came across.... Beadstreet new nail polishes!
I believe it's my first time purchasing anything from Beadstreet, although they have fairly inexpensive accessories. They had testers for their nail polishes, plus generous amounts of cotton swabs (hear hear Face Shop). And they had cremes. AND, they were retailing for $2 each (2 for $4). Which means, swatch fest!
And I must say, kudos to them for producing their own nail polish range! They actually have a grey (have you ever seen cheap grey polishes??), and it was the first I picked up. And placed back, because I already own greys.
But let me tell you, that theory is flawed, because I walked away with another green (oops), and surprise surprise, a pink polish!

The green loooks so pretty! I've already worn it, but I forgot to take pictures. Will update the post the next time I wear it!
Meanwhile, I have the pink on my nails!
It's a really bright pink, very vibrant. I thought it will be a dupe for
Essie's Guilty Pleasures, but it's a tad lighter. Guilty Pleasures is
also more of a jelly finish, compared to the straight creme this is.

Painting was surprisingly straightforward,
no-fuss application, which speaks volume since I'm not very good with
painting, not yet (more practice! and more patience!) But both shades
were pretty much opaque in 2 coats. Me likes!

For the price, I'm going back for more. The
bf kinda agreed to pay for more colors, so I'm going to build up my
arsenal of basic colors (think, pastel pink, blue, orange, red, grey,
more greens, purple), and maybe even purchase some for frankening new
polish colors! =)

And if you're planning to head down to
Beadstreet, like I do, hurry! I have absolutely no idea when the
promotion ends, and I admit, my high ratings for the polishes thus far
is simply because, $2 is hard to beat!

PS: Have I told you, I'm so in love with Poshe's quick drying top coat? Love it loads more than Seche Vite!

Disclaimer: Hey, I paid that $4 with
my own money! The next disclaimer for Beadstreet polishes will be, hey, I
spent the bf's money!
