What's in my makeup bag?
Well, that is, if I bring one along. I don't usually touch up during the day, so I bring minimal amount of products out with me!
The makeup bag is by Agnes B, a magazine freebie that I'm sure you have seen. It was cheap ($6 for the magazine), roomy, and durable, and it's black, which means any stains or spills won't be visible to others.
Items usually stored in it (+ short reviews of each products!)
Maybelline Dream Matte Powder
Eskulin Kids Hand Sanitizer in Pink
Biore Powder Sheets
EOS Lip Balm in Sweet Mint
Stage Wondergloss Lipgloss in Sophia
Eco Tools Retractable Kabuki Brush
Wow, this entry turned out to be extremely lengthy! But I hope the
mini reviews are useful, and if not, do enlighten me on how I can
improve my blog entries!

Maybelline Dream Matte Powder
- Maybelline's Dream Matte Powder is fairly translucent, and thus, the limited color range is not really a significant problem. I absolutely love it for setting makeup, especially BB creams or just sunblock. I do not have very oily skin (other than the nose), so I can't tell if my makeup oils up slower than usual with this powder. I definitely don't need to touch up anything until I'm home. But it gives this nice velvety feel that I love lots.
Eskulin Kids Hand Sanitizer in Pink
- This costs me $1.55, and smells way better than the Dettol's hand sanitizers. As this is a sanitizer for children, I am unsure if this is truly effective due to the low percentage of alcohol. Do you see those blue beads? They disappear once you put the sanitizer onto your hands and rub it in! Cheap thrill, but fun to watch and be amazed nonetheless :p
Biore Powder Sheets
- Biore Powder Sheets have been my absolute love since an ex-colleague introduced it to me. It works wonderfully well, depositing an even, non-chalky and transparent layer of powder on your face and body, while the alcohol creates a nice cooling sensation. I'm not exaggerating when I say this is an absolute must-have in Singapore, where the weather melts you down (why can't the sun just melt down the fats?!) One sheet is sufficient for the entire body, and makes its price tag ($3.00 for a pack of 10 sheets) easier to swallow. I almost always bring 1 pack along when I travel out of the country.
EOS Lip Balm in Sweet Mint

Stage Wondergloss Lipgloss in Sophia
- Stage's Wondergloss Lipgloss is my favourite lipgloss at the moment! It is non-sticky (not as bad as MAC anyway), and not as drying as the MAC Lipglass can be. It smells like Vanilla, which is great in my books, and have no noticeable taste. It doesn't wear very long, but considering the price tag (I paid about $6 for it), I don't mind reapplying. Sophia is a fairly sheer corally-orange shade that plumps my lips, and makes them look juicy. I like it so much, this is probably the first lipgloss/lipstick I'm finishing!
Eco Tools Retractable Kabuki Brush
- Eco Tools Retractable Kabuki Brush is well, retractable. Which means, it is portable, and fit into my Agnes B makeup pouch easily. I love using it for powders, and especially for the Maybelline Dream Matte Powder. It is really dense, and takes more than 1 day to dry after deep cleansing. I like that it's soft, and does not pick up way too much powder to turn me into a geisha or a ghost, whichever.
