Swatch Series: Essie Da Bush

If you haven't noticed, there's a tab up there that says "Polish Stash". It contains a list of polishes I own (probably not all), and as and when I swatch them, the link goes up onto the page as well. It's a fantastic way for me to inventorize my collection, and a good way to check swatches quickly if somehow the search box doesn't show up anything!

Today's swatch is Essie's Da Bush. It's one of the many light green artichoke colours that was released last year. I wasn't planning on getting this at first. I really want OPI Stranger Tides. Then, I read comparison posts that Essie's Da Bush is an exact dupe, but with some blogs recommending the Essie because of better opacity, so I went along with Essie instead, which is much cheaper than OPI.

Essie Da Bush is well, a light green. Honestly, as I've mentioned, I'm bad at naming colours, and other than descriptions I've read on other blogs, I can only say, this is a light green *ahhahaha*.

Da Bush is my second Essie polish, and I'm pretty happy with the polish! Essie seems to be fantastic at making creme polishes, but only recently did she venture into the non-pinks and reds territory, hence my sudden interest in Essie. The brush is irritatingly small, but once you get used to it, it's alrighty, nothing to really complain of.

Do you notice tiny little bumps? I"m not sure why, coz I don't remember Essie Da Bush having formula problems. It really could be my new base combination (1 coat of OPI base coat, 1 coat of Nail Tek Foundation II). I'll experiment more with the base combination, and do a review later on!

And, do you know how to measure how much you like a nail polish? You count the number of times you've worn it. This is my fifth time wearing the polish out, in a space of about... maybe 4 months? I wore the colour twice in a row the first time I put it now. And come to think about it, I will put it on for my Japan trip in May! I've worn it matte, with a glitter topcoat, and just plain on its own. Yes, I absolutely love it!

So, what do you think of this polish? I have another Essie polish swatch coming right up!!

PS: I hate the name. What's "Da Bush" anywayz?

PPS: I have more than 100 bottles of polishes I think *faints*
