Review: Revlon Lip Butters
Hey everyone!
As usual, I haven't been keeping up with my blogging. Well, I've been swamped with lots of stuff going on my life, and I've also just recovered from a terrible coughing spell.
Today's post is finally a review post! I realised I shy away from reviews, because they seem so much more tedious to do, hahahaha.

Revlon Lip Butters
are one of the newest products being added to the Revlon line. They can
be found locally (8 out of 21 shades) at Watsons and Guardian for
$14.90, which is a totally reasonable price. Unfortunately, the range
that can be found locally is kinda sad, so you'll have to turn to local
blogshops to get the other shades, or spree for them directly.
When I first saw reviews and swatches of
these, I literally squealed. I mean, they look absolutely gorgeous, and I
like a moisturing tinted balm anytime. KarlaSugar has amazing swatches of all 21 shades, and mind you, you're bound to like a colour or two!
I exercised a lot of self-restraint, and figured I will pick up only 2. And I did, hooray!
The first one I picked up was Tutti Frutti,
a really pretty orange. At first, I was like, seriously, you wanna wear
orange? Orange is a scary colour to wear, but this one is a little
sheer, so it blends into your natural lip color for a most gorgeous
effect.
I especially like it at 1 coat, which is
mostly like I wear it. It just gives my lips a slightly orange effect,
which I think is really flattering.
The second shade I picked up is Macaroon, which was supposed to be a UK-exclusive, but somehow made its way to Singapore, yippee!
At one coat (agian, my favourite way of wearing it), it reddens my lips
wonderfully. I thought it would be similar to MAC's Cyndi Lipstick, but
it's totally different (comparison for another post ye?)
At 2 coats, it's a little meh. I'm not a fan of glitters, and there's just that tiny itsy bit of microshimmer in Macaroon that I didn't notice when I purchased it.

Wear time was average.
It's not meant to last that long, and with 1 sheer coat, it lasts for
about 1-2 hours before fading, depending on how often I lick my lips or
drink water.
Pigmentation was superb
for something meant to be sheer. Or as Temptalia said, it might not
therefore be what everyone expected, since they're meant to be sheer.
As for comfort level, they're not the most moisturizing lipstick
around. I seriously love and miss the Maybelline's Moisture Extreme
Lipsticks (which had SPF to boot!), but the Revlon Lip Butters are
rather decent. Macaroon felt a bit drier, probably because of the itsy
bit of microshimmer. Nonetheless, I would continue to recommend a layer of lip balm underneath.

All in all, I think the Revlon Lip Butters are a good buy.
I do love Tutti Frutti a lot, and I'm tempted to pick up a few more. If
I do, it would be either Creamsicle, Pink Truffle or Sweet Tart. But
seeing that I don't wear a lot of makeup (not even to work!), it feels a
little waste of money getitng more if I'm not going to hit pan on any
current products, haiz.
