BeautyAsia 2013
Hi everyone!
As mentioned in yesterday's post, Beauty Asia 2013 is back! Last year's Beauty Asia was tremendously fun, with serious damage done to my wallet. I hauled tons of Zoya, cuticle removers, China Glaze, Misa etc.
For the uninitiated, BeautyAsia is supposed to be "the region's most established one-stop show for the beauty, spa and health industry". In short, it's a trade fair for the beauty industry. This year's BeautyAsia is held at Marina Bay Sands Expo and Convention Center, from 25 Feb to 27 Feb. So, if you're looking to drop by the fair, tomorrow's the last day!
To my surprise and disappointment, despite the much nicer venue over at MBS, the selection of stalls this year were rather limited. Or rather, the same stores appeared, but they had so much lesser polishes on sale this time round.
Before I show you my haul, here's a rough price guide:
Unknown store:
OPI: $9/bottle (not any cheaper than normal 'retail')
United Nails Supply:
China Glazes: $6/bottle. The newest colours stocked are from the Cirque du Soleil collection
Poshe Base and Top Coat: $18/set
U Gateway:
Deborah Lippman: $18 before GST ($19.26 with GST)
Orly: $6 before GST ($6.42 with GST). New collections require an order of the entire collection. Older colours look... really old.
Zoya: $7 before GST ($7.49 with GST). Newest collections are the Designer Collection, but newer collections (aka Pixie Dust) will be available on Wednesday.
Seche Vite Top Coat: $44 for 2. This is for the huge professional size.
Star*like Nails:
Misa: $5/ bottle
Random China Glaze: $3/ bottle (mostly with their lettering rubbed off)
Stripping Polish: $3/ bottle
Random glitter: $1/ box
Transparent Nail wheels: $6 for 10
Blue Cross Cuticle Remover: $7/bottle
Nail Tek: $5- $12
My damage this year is.... $41! Rather good for 7 bottles of polish and 1 bottle of stripping polish!
Top row consists of Misa's Sweet Things ($5), a random stripping polish in white ($3), China Glaze Classic Camel and Urban-Night ($3 ea!)
Bottom row consists of China Glaze's Fairy Dust and Exotic Encounters ($6 ea), and Zoya Natty and Neeka ($7.49 ea)
I've swatched them on my nail sticks, so pictures will be up in the next posts! If you're interested, Misa Sweet Things had one of the best formulas for such a light creamy shade, and I wish I bought up the other shades in this particular collection!
So, did you visit BeautyAsia? Did you haul anything back? Share with me in the comments!
