Summerloft and LUSH products

After reading heavenlygorgeous' entry on a shop selling LUSH products, I was super excited to check it out, and so, while on the way home from Kose's sale at Great World City, I dropped by Holland Village to check out the smells and prices.

The main purpose is really to check out the price of LUSH's Angels on Bare Skin. I have been using it for about 1 month coming, and I do like it quite a lot. The problem lies in that it is preservatives-free, and so, my tub can only last until 11 Jan, and probably just slightly longer since I'm keeping my tub in the fridge. It's a huge hassle to have to order just a few items from LUSH UK/USA, and the shipping rates are pretty expensive anyway. So, I was hoping that Summerloft would be selling it at a decent price.

Summerloft is amazing for all who loves soaps! Omg, the selection of soaps is awesome, and I overheard a lady walking past the store and (very loudly) exclaiming, "Hmm, what a wonderful smell!!" There's LUSH and other brand(s) that I didn't really notice. The LUSH items are right in the middle of the store, tons and tons of goodies. Well, I still love Porridge the most after smelling all the other soaps, but still, it was fun to have a chance to smell the soaps in person. I can't remember what they have or do not have, but generally, most items are carried, I think.

But, the worse thing about Summerloft is the price. As mentioned, I was there to check out mainly the cleanser, and read this carefully: A 100g tub costs $29.30, and can only last for 1 month! That is ridiculous, and besides, there was no expiry dates (as there will be for LUSH products), so that 1 month is really based on what the owner (?) told me. As for the soaps, the average appears to be $16.30 for 100g of soaps. The toner costs $29.30 too, which is ridiculous.

I know there was someone who commented on Mya's entry that she has since emailed LUSH to find out if this store is legit. I have no idea about this, and the owner is kinda unfriendly, so I didn't want to ask her outright. Some soaps were wrapped in the original LUSH packaging with ingredient lists etc all printed. As for some other soaps, there is only a normal plastic wrapping with the Summerloft logo printed on it, so honestly, I'm not sure. It doesn't help that for a cleanser that can last for only 3 months, there was no authentic LUSH expiry date.

All in all, I must say it was fun getting the chance to smell the other soaps. If anything, it only made me wish for more LUSH soaps, and at least I know how they smell like in real life!
