Swatch Series: Essence Blue Addicted

Here's another slightly overdue blog post!

As mentioned previously, I managed to pick up Essence's Blue Addicted. It is such a popular shade, I had to wait 1 month before the shelves were restocked ><

But, as you will see later, it's a fantastic buy for just $2.80 (5ml)! A dark blue jelly base, Blue Addicted is chockfull of two different sizes of glitter, with blue micro-glitters, and larger blue-green hexagonal glitters!

It takes about 3 coats for a full coverage, so it's best if you paint on a dark blue base color. Application-wise, it's more gloopy than Time for Romance, but manageable. It does dry matte-ish, so you would want a thick coat of high-shine topcoat. You would need it anyway, since the glitter makes the surface not as smooth as I like.

Kas of Cocomotion has posted a comparison photo of Deborah Lippmann's Across the Universe, and I say, they're almost 100% similar. For that wallet-friendly pricetag, I strongly recommend you pick up a bottle of Essence's Blue Addicted, provided you are addicted enough to remove glitter polishes (ugh).
