Look what came in the mail! Handpainted Nail Sets by Beautopia!
Hey everyone!
It looks like I'm still not managing my time well enough >< For now, my aim is to complete a whole series of blog posts over the weekends, and post them out every other day. Good motivation to keep me working and productive over the weekends, instead of simply lazing around. (Time is extremely precious now!)
In any case, today's post is rather exciting, if only because, it's my first time winning any giveaways. I have terrible luck with such events, so I was mighty surprised that I won Beautopia's giveaway earlier in May! And omg, I almost lost it, because I was in Japan on holiday, and refused to touch the computer/internet until the fourth day ><
In case you don't follow Beautopia (and you should, because she has gorgeous designs, really), she has recently launch an Etsy store selling handpainted nail sets! I chose this particular design called "Aqua/Citron Unikko", and I must say, for handpainted nails, they're really really really well-done. Honestly, I can't tell they're handpainted.
Check out the instructions! It's really simple, but I wonder what sort of double-sided adhesive would be good. Surely not the usual double-sided tape?
The nails were lightly glued onto the cardstock. All you have to do it peel them off, and remove the adhesive left on the nails.
CHECK OUT THE NAILS, OMG! Aren't they gorgeous?
Initially, I couldn't even decide which set I like, and simply gave the BF 3 options. The other 2 sets I considered (and still tempted by) are:
I requested for narrow nail sets, and unfortunately, they're still a bit too wide for my nails. I'll give it a try sanding down the sides to make them fit. The length is just nice though (medium).
Now, all I need is an excuse, a suitable event, and appropriate outfits to match with the nails. Definitely, more photos when I've tried the on!
