Nail it: Cupcake Nails

Hey everyone!

Because I'm bored of simple polish swatches, I've decided to spam the blog with pictures of nail art! They're all done on nail wheels, for the simple reason that I can't possibly wear such stuff to work >< Also, I take it as an opportunity to let people critique my work, if only so I can improve. Practise makes perfect too ye?

I did cupcake nails on the first nail wheel of mine. It was on a clear background, so this time round, I thought I'll play with pastels, and see how it goes. I followed the tutorial by CutePolish on youtube, and it's not too difficult to follow, even if the drawing isn't as good.

Materials used:

All polishes, no acrylic.

How to improve:

I guess I should have layered on the white. The background color is showing up, and that irks me. The heart also needs an additional layer of polish. There's a bit too much icing as well, in my opinion.

Verdict:

Cupcake nails are super easy to attempt, and will look so adorable on your fingers when you're done! I'll try again with acrylic paint the next time round to get sharper edges.
