Swatch Series: Essence A Lovely Secret

I'm finally blogging more often, and that's because I resolved to blog on the go. I'm currently using Evernote, a note-taking programme that was recommended by so many Internet users. It's really a good app, and it's free, so I might do a short review of such useful apps on this blog.

But, the star of today's post is really Essence's A Lovely Secret. I sincerely apologise for both the ugly nails and the ugly photo, because these photos do not do justice to the beauty of this particular shade.

Some background story - I first came across swatches for this when I was googling for Essence's Fruity Polishes swatches (note to all, I must upload those swatches). It caught my eyes because it was such a gorgeous colour, and a mention that this particular shade has been discontinued. That means, I had to get it before it disappears forever! Well, $2.80 doesn't take a lot of effort to persuade me :p

A Lovely Secret is a lovely lavendar color. In addition, it is filled with tons of glitter that reflects fushia-blue under light. It's really obvious in real life, so click on the picture to zoom in and see the glitters shineeeee!!!

For the denseness of the glitter base, it is not at all gritty. 2 coats were sufficient to achieve full opacity. The formula was also workable, although I felt that it was turning goopy slightly too quickly when exposed to air, so work quickly!

Still, for $2.80 (5ml bottle), this is another good buy for me. If you like it, do remember to drop by an Essence outlet quick, because this shade has been discontinued!
