NOTD: Experience with layering nail polish!
Well, technically, this is yesterday's NOTD. The french manicure I did HERE
chipped on me, very much my fault since I didn't have any base or top
coat on, and I was packing lots of stuff. So, I grabbed China Glaze's
Pelican Grey, and painted my nails normally.
I was out at Sunset City yesterday evening, when I walked past The Face Shop, and was bored enough to walk in to play around with the polishes. Has anyone noticed that TFS has lots of gold polishes? Omg, I was so tempted by all the gold-yellow polishes I saw, especially this $7.90 polish that I've been eyeing. But I digress. I found 3 polishes meant for layering, all 3 with clear bases, so ta-dah, my blinged-up NOTD!
Group shot!
This polish reminds me of China Glaze's Party Hearty, a limited edition polish released last Christmas. The glitter flakes seem smaller, and they're even in sizes, unlike the online swatches of Party Heary that I've seen. Still, a nice layering polish, fairly dense for a glitter polish. I think 2 coats should be enough to cover the entire nail with bling-bling fun! This is 1 coat over Pelican Grey.
This is 2 coats. The smaller glitter is reflecting green/orange, while the larger glitter particles are rainbow colored! It's a little too subtle for my liking (especially since this is 2 coats), but I think I like this combination the best so far of the 3.
So that concludes my belated NOTD! I really can't wait to order the BM nail plates (you can spree for them HERE), so I can have cooler nail art designs to jazz up my tiny collection of polishes!

Stars. I used to think that stars are for young girls, and such polishes
are for teenage girls to play around before they venture properly into
nail polishes. I'm still undecided on how much I like them, for now.
This is 1 coat, and I had trouble getting the stars to stick to the
brush. Definitely, this is one of those things that need a super thick
coat of top coat, because I've scratched myself countless times with the
stars. But the stars themselves are pretty, reflecting different colors
as you move them around under the light.
