Swatch Series: WnW Mega Last Lip Color in Coral-ine
Wet n Wild has been gaining popularity recently in United States, after the launch of their Color Icon eyeshadows. Temptalia
recently reviewed their Mega Last Lip Color in Carol-ine, giving it a
rave review. The color is so similar to MAC's Toxic Tale, that I had to
get it. I wanted Toxic Tale, but it's so scary looking, that I couldn't
bear to spend $28 on a lipstick I wouldn't wear at all. So yup, a nice
dupe for MAC's Toxic Tale!
Anywayz, here's the swatch of Carol-ine. Temptalia described it as a "rich coral-orange that leans far more orange than it does coral", and to some extent, she's right. But, swatched on my hands (and lips), the color is more of a warm red, than orange or coral even. The color is so vibrant, my camera couldn't capture that vividness. It's truly opaque in 1 layer, which is always awesome for any lipstick.
As you can tell, I really have nothing very similar in my stash. OCC Grandma is kinda similar, but Carol-ine is scarier, because it's more red than pink. But both are equally vibrant in real life.
~~~
Overall, I really like the formula of the lipstick, not so much the color. It's too bright for me, and too red. But I do see myself ordering the other shades in the series!
