Dupe or Duped? Sally Hansen Gray by Gray and RBL 360

Dupe or Duped? is the cooler version of comparison posts =)

The stars of today's comparison posts are Sally Hansen's Gray by Gray and Rescue Beauty Lounge's 360. I was wearing Gray by Gray, when I felt that it resembles something I already have from my stash, i.e. 360.

Index and Ring Fingers: Gray by Gray
Middle Finger and Pinkie: 360

Dupe or Duped?
So how similar are they? Well, close-up, not very. 360 is visibly greener than Gray by Gray. I did the 'muggle test' (which is a test devised by some other nail polish blogger. Unfortunately, I can't remember who exactly at the moment). The 'muggle' here is my boyfriend, who spotted the difference immediately. It's not so much the colour difference, but also the richness of 360, compared to Gray by Gray. 360 has those invisible silver shimmer that nonetheless enhance the richness of the colour.

But, from far, the 2 polishes are fairly similar. I would say if you can only get hold of one polish, well, either should satisfy the need for the other.

Formula:
Both are equally good, in my opinion. Gray by Gray dries faster than 360, but that's a small consideration since most people use a quick-drying topcoat. Both require 2 coats for full opacity, although similarly, you can get away from 1 coat each.

Price:
360 costs USD18.00 (excluding international shipping), while Gray by Gray costs ~USD$7.99 (but not easily available, and impossible without a custom-purchase from the States). I purchased my bottle of 360 at 50% discount, which worked out to $14.00 including international shipping. Gray by Gray costs me $17.00 including international shipping.

Final say?
I say, choose either polish will do! If there is another 50% discount sale, and 360 is still available for sale, go ahead and grab that instead! I much prefer Sally Hansen's brush, but the richness of 360 is really awesome.
